Robeo Casings BV is one of the market leaders in the area of collection, purchase and sale of casings. Purchase and sales activities take place worldwide. The main sales market is the tyre retreading industry. Systematic marketing activities are undertaken in order to increase understanding of the sales market. As a result, new markets are developed and Robeo’s position in existing markets is strengthened.

The central location of all our activities is Lelystad, the Netherlands. We call this modern and spacious business complex our SHOWROOM. It covers 22,500m2 and meets all environmental requirements. Our SHOWROOM is located in the centre of the Netherlands and is easily accessible to visitors from other countries. Transport links include a direct train connection to Schiphol Airport. Visitors can also make use of our pick-up service.

A wide and comprehensive range of truck-, lighttruck-, van- and car tyre casings are displayed in our SHOWROOM. In addition, we are able to supply earthmoving tyre casings and retreaded tyres. We buy and collect our casings and used tyres from transport companies, casing dealers,  dealerships and independent garages. We also have buyers throughout Europe who closely cooperate with casing collection companies and wholesalers. 

All casings are usually inspected at the supplier’s location, which allows the supplier to follow the inspection process and understand percentage ratios of valuable and scrap tyres.

COLLECTION

All casings are usually collected from transport companies and casing dealers. Our worldwide sales network with trade companies and tyre retreading companies means that we can guarantee you a good price for your casings and used tyres.

Our qualified inspectors visit transport companies and casing dealers on a regular basis in order to closely inspect the quality of casings.

Casings that are suitable for retreading are purchased by Robeo. If the casings are rejected, then Robeo transports them for a small fee to one of our related recycling companies. These tyres are then recycled into raw materials, namely rubber granules or rubber powder. Also, have a quick look at our Re-Tyred® products that are made from recycled tyres.

Robeo has its own transportation logistics department. With the help of our 4 trucks we are able to manage the entire infrastructure from collection to buyers or from collection to recycling.

Our qualified inspectors visit transport companies, tyre dealers, casing dealers and wholesalers on a regular basis in order to closely inspect the quality of the casings.
All accepted casings are selected by size, brand and quality and are displayed in a designated location in our SHOWROOM. Our inventory system is fully automated and can be adjusted to match the needs of different clients. Since we have an average of 150,000 casings in stock, delivery from stock is almost always possible. If necessary, casings that are not in stock can be bought according to the specifications of the client.

LOGISTICS

Robeo handles the logistics of collection, purchase and sale of casings in-house. Our 4 trucks travel throughout the BENELUX region in order to collect casings from our suppliers, and to deliver to our clients. Activities outside the BENELUX region (international logistics) are coordinated by the logistics department. Logistics is also responsible for the organisation of transportation for our clients and suppliers. Our clients’ needs are always taken into consideration when we plan our logistics.

Robeo treats the legislation, drawn up to protect the environmental, very seriously. This means that we have obtained all the required environmental permits and meet all the requirements set down by the government. In addition, Robeo ensures that rejected casings are disposed of responsibly. Robeo is connected with various bodies, including:

Robeo thus cooperates with a number of certified recyclers who ensure 100% recycling of old casings, turning them into either renewable energy or raw materials. The intermediate product (rubber powder) has opened up new markets for Robeo. Our brand Re-Tyred® is the best example of this. We offer fashion products, corporate gifts and gadgets made from recycled tyres to our suppliers and clients in order to underline our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
